Even if it's true that it is relatively easy to install a water heater, this installation requires knowledge that only a professional possess. For example:
- the rules and standards in force in regards to plumbing and electricity;
- the directives on transportation and the manipulation of the water heater to avoid breaking of particular parts;
- the technical rules in regards to parts and welding to avoid breaking of particular components that could provoke eventual damages;
- the manufacturers installation rules to permits you to have the warranties.
In addition to the benefits above, there are other benefits to consider :
- you will not have to move the old water heater witch can prevent injury by lifting heavy objects;
- for those who do not have the experience in moving heavy equipment or do not possess the proper tools risk damaging the tank during transportation or installation.
The installation is included in the purchase or the rental and included :
- the best quality hot water heater Ultra Cascade (see description on Water Heater tab);
- vacuum breaker to prevent siphoning;
- pressure-relief (safety) valve and discharge pipe;
- receptacle installed free under the water heater (this receptacle isn't necessary if the water heater is installed directly above the drain floor. Space must be sufficient for the receptacle);
- connection of the exhaust valve to the mural drain where available and respects the installation standards (for example : the drain mural must be the right size. It must not have a reduction of pipes and the drain mural entry must be lower that the exit of the exhaust valve in order to have a downward slope);
- parts such as plumbing fixtures like fittings (same for cases of water heater conversion with water entry on top to an entry at the bottom and in the case where the size of the water heater is different from the old one);
- emptying and removal of the old water heater;
- recycling the old water heater and transportation to the dismantling and ecologic recycling factory;
- no surcharge for the work done in the evenings or week ends.
This is not included in the basic installation :
(billable and payable to the technician at time of installation)
- the replacement of the owners cold water entry valve;
- the connection of the retention tank to the drain floor;
- the upgrade for the electrical in accordance to industry standards;
- the upgrade of the plumbing in accordance to industry standards;
- the platform for the water heater to connect the security valve to the drain.
To permit the installation, the customer has to make sure :
- to have a clear space available for easy access and a secure installation.
