HydroSolution was created by Hydro-Québec in 1958 to promote the use of electricity throughout the province by offering an electric water heater rental service to all Quebecers.

In 2005, HydroSolution became a privately-owned company, but its original purpose remained the same: to offer water heater rentals, sales and installation services.

HydroSolution’s service offering is designed to meet the specific needs of a variety of customers; such as homeowners, tenants, condo managers, real estate investors and contractors. Specific programs for each customer type are designed to save time and offer a customized and orderly service.

ecological footprint

HydroSolution fosters sustainable development and promotes environmentally friendly practices, while working together with its customers to reduce their collective ecological footprint, such as recycling old water heaters, promoting online billing, offering a full range of qualified products, providing water heaters that are entirely manufactured in Quebec, and that’s just to name a few.

Our

social involvement

HydroSolution has made numerous donations over the past two years, including to the Montreal Heart Institute’s Research Centre to contribute to its clinical study on COVID-19. The study aimed to determine whether an anti-inflammatory drug called colchicine could prevent severe forms of the illness. HydroSolution also donated to the Foundation of Stars which supports pediatric research in Quebec. Donations funded research on the mental health of children and teenagers.

Executive team

HydroSolution’s executive team is made up of managers who leverage their in-depth experience for the success of the company. This small team is able to quickly adapt and react to make decisions that ensure we provide a service that is accessible and tailored to the needs of clients.

Nicolas Ayotte

President and CEO

At the head of HydroSolution since 2014, Nicolas Ayotte has overseen the company’s greatest growth in its history. Because of his vision that has focused on sales, technology and brand development, the company is now a leader of the industry. His dedication and passion for surrounding himself with the best people allow him to create a dynamic work environment where every employee makes a difference. Prior to joining HydroSolution, Nicolas spent 16 years at Xerox as the Vice-President of Eastern Canada and 5 years as the President of Via Capitale. Nicolas also devotes his time to helping young hockey players.

Érick Dion

Senior Director of Finance and Administration

Since 2005, Érick has participated in forging HydroSolution’s core values. Since he joined the team many years ago, he has been involved in all functional areas of the business and now has a good overview of the organization. He has also participated in numerous negotiations for refinancing deals and asset acquisitions.

In addition to his experience within the HydroSolution team, Érick holds the CPA and CGA designations as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in addition to a graduate certificate in financial performance.

Caroline Blazy

SENIOR DIRECTOR, SALES & MARKETING

During her career, Caroline has worked in developing major Quebec brands including Metro, Uniprix and Groupe Marie Claire. She also worked in advertising at Cossette for clients such as Coca-Cola, General Motors of Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada and Metro.

Thanks to her managerial skills, she is an expert in relationship and digital marketing, loyalty programs, social networks and e-commerce.

Her in-depth experience makes her a creative and curious person always looking for solutions and results. She communicates with passion and works with her team to produce the best campaigns.

Caroline joined the HydroSolution team in May 2020 as Marketing and Digital Director.

Julie Grenier

DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

Julie joined HydroSolution in 2017 and since then, she has skilfully been contributing to the company’s success. Her initial contact with the company occurred during her BBA internships where she was immediately drawn to HydroSolution’s mindset of innovation and friendly work environment.

After graduating with an MBA and becoming a member of the Ordre des CRHA, she is now responsible for ensuring the human-centric approach of HydroSolution’s business decisions. She is passionate about her role and truly believes employees are at the heart of any successful organization. She also knows that work must be a source of pride and joy.

As someone who is curious by nature, and a foodie, she is always up for travelling abroad or trying a new restaurant!

Youri Sasseville

IT Director

Youri is an IT manager with a strong technical background and extensive experience in providing customer service, overseeing teams, and managing complex IT projects. He also worked in the IT department at Lumenpulse as a manager for integration projects and international migration.

He is renowned for his attention to detail, enthusiasm, and ability to overcome new challenges. Youri joined HydroSolution’s team in 2021.

Dimitri Vretos

Director, Operations and Customer Service

Since he joined HydroSolution in 2021, Dimitri has been able to leverage his extensive know-how of the best practices on customer satisfaction and experience as well as his background with operational technology in call centres.

Dimitri has spent more than 20 years helping call centres in the sectors of telecommunications, aviation, transportation, and home electronics.

He is a team player who loves spending time with his family.

Stéphane Dufort

Director of Partnerships and Products

Stéphane Dufort joined HydroSolution in October 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience. After beginning his career at Xerox and then Kodak, he joined IBM in 1996 where he rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Industrial, Public & Commercial Sectors. He held several key positions in marketing, software and hardware sales, and operations across Canada. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has completed the intensive Strategic Leadership program at the prestigious Harvard Business School.

Stéphane is committed to being an active member of his community. He was the governor and board member of the foundation and rehabilitation addiction center Portage from 2008 to 2023. Since 2002, he and his wife have been active ambassadors for the Centre de répit et de dépannage Aux Quatre Poches.

Virginie Dugas

Director of Operational Excellence

Virginia Dugas, CPA and PMP, joined the HydroSolution team in October 2023 and now oversees the Project Office. Throughout a career mainly focused on IT, she worked for renowned companies such as Bombardier, BRP, and L’Oréal Canada. Virginie is an expert in business analytics and project management and has led digital transformation initiatives and the implementation of ERP and HRIS systems.

Her strategic vision and experience in advisory services enables her to guide HydroSolution through major projects.
