A bit of background
Over the years, HydroSolution has gained an unmatched reputation for excellence and has become the company of choice in the field thanks to its turnkey service, which includes the rental, sale, installation and maintenance of HydroSolution appliances, as well as a repair service for almost any other brand on the market.
HydroSolution was created by Hydro-Québec in 1958 to promote the use of electricity throughout the province by offering an electric water heater rental service to all Quebecers.
In 2005, HydroSolution became a privately-owned company, but its original purpose remained the same: to offer water heater rentals, sales and installation services.
HydroSolution’s service offering is designed to meet the specific needs of a variety of customers; such as homeowners, tenants, condo managers, real estate investors and contractors. Specific programs for each customer type are designed to save time and offer a customized and orderly service.
HydroSolution also provides water heaters to the Regroupement des Auberges du coeur du Québec, where troubled and homeless youth have been able to find shelter for the past 40 years.
Since 2015, Nicolas Ayotte, President and CEO of HydroSolution, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Québec because he cares deeply for the cause. The Special Olympics movement is active in 170 countries. Its mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through sport.
HydroSolution’s executive team is made up of managers who leverage their in-depth experience for the success of the company. This small team is able to quickly adapt and react to make decisions that ensure we provide a service that is accessible and tailored to the needs of clients.
At the head of HydroSolution since 2014, Nicolas Ayotte has overseen the company’s greatest growth in its history. Because of his vision that has focused on sales, technology and brand development, the company is now a leader of the industry. His dedication and passion for surrounding himself with the best people allow him to create a dynamic work environment where every employee makes a difference. Prior to joining HydroSolution, Nicolas spent 16 years at Xerox as the Vice-President of Eastern Canada and 5 years as the President of Via Capitale.
Nicolas also devotes his time to helping young hockey players and is a member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Québec.
Martin joined HydroSolution’s team in May 2020. Thanks to the experience he acquired within major companies, his strategic vision helps maintain a constant business growth. His goals are to create new partnerships and launch new products, thereby allowing HydroSolution to remain an industry leader in the residential sector. Martin’s enthusiasm and sense of humour are contagious and help him build strong ties with everyone around him.
Prior to joining HydroSolution, Martin spent part of his career at CGI where he managed several services such as finances, sales, procurement and operations. Martin is a CPA-CMA and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Université de Sherbrooke.
Since 2005, Érick has participated in forging HydroSolution’s core values. Since he joined the team many years ago, he has been involved in all functional areas of the business and now has a good overview of the organization. He has also participated in numerous negotiations for refinancing deals and asset acquisitions.
In addition to his experience within the HydroSolution team, Érick holds the CPA and CGA designations as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in addition to a graduate certificate in financial performance.
During her career, Caroline has worked in developing major Quebec brands including Metro, Uniprix and Groupe Marie Claire. She also worked in advertising at Cossette for clients such as Coca-Cola, General Motors of Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada and Metro.
Thanks to her managerial skills, she is an expert in relationship and digital marketing, loyalty programs, social networks and e-commerce.
Her in-depth experience makes her a creative and curious person always looking for solutions and results. She communicates with passion and works with her team to produce the best campaigns.
Before joining HydroSolution in May 2020 as the Marketing and Digital Director, Caroline spent a few months living in Chicago to gain an international perspective. She is currently completing a degree in organization management and artificial intelligence at Université Laval.
With HydroSolution since 2013, François constantly applies his leadership to get results. Throughout the years, he has acquired adaptability skills and undeniable knowledge in managing task forces, optimizing operations as well as developing processes and procedures. He knows how to encourage effort and collaboration to achieve the organization’s goals according to the vision and strategies already established. With a keen and methodological intellect, François stands out thanks to his organizational and planning skills as well as his innate ability to implement new procedures in the company’s structure. He always feels at ease in stimulating and demanding environments where he knows how to stay pragmatic and focused.
François firmly believes that the concept of having fun at work is essential to keep the staff engaged and committed. He claims that above all else, the success of a company depends on its employees. Therefore, it is important to truly devote oneself to maintaining a dynamic and positive environment at work!
In April 2018, Isabelle joined the HydroSolution team as an operational efficiency manager. Every day, she works in collaboration with her teams to achieve the goals of the organization. In recent years, Isabelle has overseen several ambitious strategic projects for large and medium-sized organizations. Most of the projects, initiated by a change in the information management system, included many human factors to consider and had major impacts on the operations of various departments within the companies. Her expertise, based on more than 20 years of experience in different fields of management and an MBA with a specialization in management of technology and information, make her an expert in organizational management and business process optimization. Her skills also provide her with a strategic vision of organizational issues.
Mother of two, Isabelle’s hobbies include skiing and cycling with her family.
Julie joined HydroSolution in 2017 and since then, she’s been enthusiastically contributing to the organization’s success. As a member of the ordre des CRHA, she focuses on helping the company make business decisions with a human-centric approach and supports HydroSolution’s growth by adding new talent to the team. Julie met with the company’s team during her B.A.A. internship and was charmed by its friendliness and spirit of innovation. An MBA student and passionate about the human element, she truly believes that employees are at the heart of any successful company and that work must be a source of happiness.
Curious by nature, she is always willing to travel to new countries or try new restaurants!
